Certification and Examination Policy for InGrade Learning
Effective Date: July 1st, 2024
Examination Policy for Internal Semesters and Final Assessments
Registration for Exams:
All students must register for each examination.
There are no registration fees for initial semester or final exams.
Fees will be applied for retaking any semester or final exams.
Exam registration must be completed at least two weeks before the scheduled exam date.
Eligibility Criteria:
For programs lasting 12 months:
Semester 1 Exam: Eligible 90 days after the batch commencement.
Semester 2 Exam: Eligible 180 days after the batch commencement.
Semester 3 Exam: Eligible 240 days after the batch commencement.
Final Exam: Eligible 270 days after the batch commencement.
For programs lasting 6 months:
Semester 1 Exam: Eligible 45 days after the batch commencement.
Semester 2 Exam: Eligible 90 days after the batch commencement.
Semester 3 Exam: Eligible 120 days after the batch commencement.
Final Exam: Eligible 150 days after the batch commencement.
Eligibility timelines will be adjusted for students who change their batch start dates.
InGrade Certification Requirements
Attendance:
A minimum of 70% attendance is required throughout the course to qualify for certification.
Attendance will be monitored through a digital attendance system to ensure accuracy.
Score Requirements:
Students must achieve a combined score of at least 50% in all internal semester and final exams to qualify for certification.
Scores from internal assessments and practical projects will also contribute to the final grade
Third-Party Certification and Examination
Third-Party Certifications:
Fee waivers for third-party certifications are available only for specific InGrade programs. Refer to the program brochure or support portal for more information.
Students can obtain certifications from organizations approved by InGrade, which may change over time.
Exams for these certifications may be conducted on InGrade’s platform, third-party platforms, or through affiliates.
Additional preparation and classes may be necessary for specific certifications.
Certification bodies such as IBM, IABAC, Microsoft, etc., require students to create accounts on their platforms using the same details provided to InGrade.
Fees for retaking third-party exams will be as specified by the certification organization, excluding taxes.
Eligibility for Third-Party Certifications:
Students must pass the internal InGrade final exam before being eligible for third-party certifications.
Eligibility is limited to students enrolled in courses offering the specific certification.
Third-party certifications will only be awarded after successful completion of all relevant coursework and practical assignments.
Exam Failure and Absenteeism
InGrade is not responsible for any exam failures, whether internal or third-party. It is the student’s responsibility to prepare adequately.
Once an exam is registered, the date cannot be changed. Students should ensure they are prepared and available.
Students who miss an exam without a valid reason will incur fees for subsequent attempts.
Students are encouraged to seek academic support and utilize available resources if they face difficulties in preparing for exams.
Exam Format
All exams will be conducted as Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
Exams will include a mix of multiple-choice questions, short answer questions, and practical tasks to assess comprehensive understanding.
Certification Exam Platform:
InGrade will use its platform, partner software, or trusted third-party portals for certification exams.
InGrade aims to provide a smooth exam experience but reserves the right to request a retake without additional fees in case of technical or logistical issues.
InGrade is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent certification process and will address any problems promptly.
Students will have access to a mock exam to familiarize themselves with the exam platform and format.
Exam Absenteeism
Students who do not appear for an exam after registration will be charged for any additional attempts.
Ensuring availability and preparedness for scheduled exams is the student’s responsibility.
Students are advised to manage their schedules to avoid additional costs due to absenteeism.
Valid reasons for missing an exam, such as medical emergencies, must be supported with appropriate documentation.
Additional Guidelines
Attendance Requirement:
To be eligible for any semester exam, students must have at least 70% attendance in delivered lectures.
Internal Assessments:
Students must complete internal assessments before taking semester exams. Marks from internal assessments will be carried forward if a student fails the course.
AI and Remote Proctoring:
Students must consent to AI and remote proctoring.
Exams will be monitored remotely with AI technology and human proctors via live video and audio feeds. These sessions will be recorded.
Proctors will verify student photos before the exam starts.
Any suspicious activity during exams will be flagged and reviewed by the proctoring team.
